Insurance and billing
Our goal is to make sure we provide high quality dental care and make sure you are aware of all the treatment being rendered. We will provide you with a treatment plan that clearly itemizes all the procedures that will be performed and a total estimate of the treatment being rendered. Transparency has been key in our office, as we want to make sure you are aware of all the financial implications in regards to your visit. We never want to surprise you with a bill!
We are exclusively in-network with Medi-Cal
While we are exclusively providers for Medi-Cal Dental Program, we take most PPOs with out of network benefits. Please keep in mind, some insurances require payment up front and we would bill your insurance as a courtesy for you to receive a potential reimbursement.
Insurances do not pay all procedures!
Dental insurance is meant to be an resource in receiving dental care. It is a common misconception that insurances pay for all of the treatment. This is not true! Most plans will vary on coverage and it is your responsibility to understand whta that coverage is. We will do our best to help provide an accurate estimate.
Benefits are not
determined by our office
You may find that your dental insurance company may reimburse you or the dentist at a lower rate than the dentist’s actual fee. Frequently, insurance companies state that the reimbursement was reduced because your dentist’s fee has exceeded the usual, customary, or reasonable fee (“UCR”) used by the company.
Deductibles/Copays
When estimating dental benefits, remember that deductibles and percentages must be factored in to determine payment responsibility. So you may have a copay for your visit. Please keep us informed of any insurance changes such as policy name, insurance company address, or a change of employment.
Policies
We will provide a complimentary insurance verification and eligibility evaluation. We will also file your claim as a courtesy. Any payment that is required will be due on the day of rendered services. Please keep in mind it is your responsibility to understand your benefits and coverage as we will do our best to help you utilize your benefits. Our office accepts checks, cash, personal check, and all major credit cards.
