Our mission at HiloDent is simple: to provide exceptional, compassionate dental care to patients with disabilities and special healthcare needs (SHCN)—patients who too often face significant barriers to receiving the care they deserve.

We believe that every person, regardless of ability or medical complexity, deserves access to high-quality dental care in an environment where they feel safe, respected, understood, and valued.

For many of our patients, a visit to the dentist can be overwhelming. Communication challenges, sensory sensitivities, physical limitations, behavioral differences, complex medical conditions, or previous difficult experiences can make traditional dental care inaccessible. We believe those challenges should never mean someone goes without the dental care they need.

Our team is dedicated to creating an environment built around the individual patient—not asking the patient to fit into a system that was not designed for them. We take the time to understand each person's unique needs, work closely with their families, caregivers, regional centers, physicians, and other healthcare providers when appropriate, and adapt our approach to provide safe and effective treatment. We understand most SHCN patients are Medi-Cal beneficiaries; our team is focused on making sure we can utilize and leverage all generic resources to the highest capacity to deliver the care they need the most.

We are passionate about expanding access to dental care for individuals with disabilities throughout Southern California and fill the void that the community has much so needed in years. We want to be a place where families can finally say, "We found a dentist who understands."
